As important it is to maintain general hygiene, it is equally important to maintain good oral hygiene during these times.
It is important to keep dental pain at bay.
Following are some basic but essential things to follow for good oral hygiene in these times:
1. BRUSH YOUR TEETH
Brushing your teeth twice daily is the key to being free from dental pain. At the end of the day do not forget to brush your and your kids’ teeth with toothbrush and toothpaste. Brushing at night is very important.
2. GARGLE
Being at home often tends one to have snacks frequently. Do not forget to gargle with water after eating anything and not just after meals.
3. EATING HABITS
Due to social distancing it is not possible to order outside food. This is the perfect opportunity to improve our eating habits. Eating more of vegetables and fruits not only keeps our health good but also helps in keeping teeth clean. Salads and fruits serve as fibrous food and keeps teeth clean.
4. LESS SNACKING
Having more free time and being at home often leads to frequent snacking. This is detrimental for our general health. It also increases chances of dental caries and dental pain.
Our general hygiene has improved due to all precautions.
